From a place that allow us to see the entire outcrop:
- We will delimitate the area of vegetation, soil and subsoil.
- We will try to delimitate units of materials in rocks as a whole according to its colour or position.
- We will pay attention to the elements of each unit that will help us to examine closely its structure: the lines that show la stratification (presence of layers), discordant contacts between units, joints, faults…
